Dr. Maximilian Hills MB BCh BAO (Trinity College Dublin) MSc (Health Inform.) DipOccMed (London) MRCGP FRACGP FRSPH

Originally from Wales, Dr. Hills completed his medical and health informatics degrees in Trinity College Dublin and subsequently worked and undertook training in medicine, surgery, paediatrics, psychiatry, and emergency medicine – in Dublin, Limerick and Sydney. He completed his vocational General Practice (GP) training in Chester, England and worked as a GP in Dublin, Ireland between 2007 and 2012. In 2012, Dr. Hills moved to Australia with his family where he continued to work as a GP and in remote industrial site medicine.

Dr Hills then worked as Chief Medical Officer for the Gorgon Project in Australia and subsequently for the Department of Social Protection in Ireland. Max is now the Chief Medical Officer for Chevron Australia. He holds fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK), a Masters in Health Informatics and a Diploma in Occupational Medicine. Dr Hills has over 15 years' experience in clinical practice of emergency medicine, suburban general practice, remote site medicine, mental health, addiction medicine, corporate and occupational health.

Technical skills and experience include:

• Injury case management including workers’ compensation and injury classification

• OSHA record keeping requirements and optimising contractor injury management

• Interpretation of medical information for classification purposes

• Fitness for duty assessment including procedural development, guideline setting

• Delivery of evidence informed wellness, fatigue management and mental health programmes

• Alcohol and drug screening programme implementation, contracting and oversight

• Contract management as Authorised Representative

• Service planning, monitoring, audit and efficiency without impact on scope

• Major incident and infectious disease planning and preparation

• Use of technology to deliver healthcare, collect and analyse data

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Critical appraisal of medical research
